A Few Important Details About Wedding Invites.

Talk to anyone that has planned a wedding or two and they will tell you that weddings are a ton of work to plan. They will also tell you that getting your wedding invitations done and out the door early is important. Wedding invitations depending on where you order them from can take a couple weeks to a couple of months to get. Then if something goes wrong and you have to have your invitations reprinted you could be in big trouble if you have waited until the last minute to have them done.

Don’t get overwhelmed with the thousands of different styles as well as designs. It is not really as bad as you my first think when you first start the hunt for the perfect wedding invitation. Here are just a couple of ideas for you of the different styles that you will come across so you know what each one is.

Typically wedding invitations come in the following formats: Gatefold, Tri-Fold, Tea Length, Square, Single and Double sided. Finding the format that works for you will depend on what you are looking to do. If you have a ton of information that you need to fit on your invite you will not want to go with a single sided invitation or a tea length invite because you simple won’t have the room you need for your wedding details. So instead of adding additional enclosure cards simple move to a folded or double sided invitation to fit your details all on one card.

Because your wedding invite is the first thing that your guests will see regarding your wedding it is appropriate to theme your invite with your wedding. For example if you are going to have a casual wedding held on the beach then sending out a wedding invitation that is beach themed will let your guest know what to expect.

Another great thing to do is to add a photo to your invitation. Adding a photo will let you add much more personality to your invitation than going without. The old saying that a picture is with a thousand words definitely applies to wedding invitation as well.
